To ease the GST return filing process, the Finance Ministry has announced that GST taxpayers can file their GSTR-3B returns in a staggered manner.
Let us see how this affects various taxpayers.
If annual turnover is Rs 5 crore and above
If your turnover is Rs. 5 crore and above, then you have to filing GSTR-3B by 20th of the following month.
If annual turnover is below Rs 5 crore
Taxpayers with annual turnover below Rs. 5 crore have a further condition to check to know your GSTR-3B due date.
If you belong to the following 15 states or union territories:
- Chhattisgarh,
- Madhya Pradesh,
- Gujarat,
- Daman and Diu,
- Dadra and Nagar Haveli,
- Maharashtra,
- Karnataka,
- Goa,
- Lakshadweep,
- Kerala,
- Tamil Nadu,
- Puducherry,
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands,
- Telangana and
- Andhra Pradesh
Then the due date for filing your GSTR-3B will be 22nd of the following month.
If you belong to the rest of the 22 states or union territories:
- Jammu and Kashmir,
- Laddakh,
- Himachal Pradesh,
- Punjab,
- Chandigarh,
- Uttarakhand,
- Haryana,
- Delhi,
- Rajasthan,
- Uttar Pradesh,
- Bihar,
- Sikkim,
- Arunachal Pradesh,
- Nagaland,
- Manipur,
- Mizoram,
- Tripura,
- Meghalaya,
- Assam,
- West Bengal,
- Jharkhand and
- Odisha
Then the due date for filing your GSTR-3B will be 24th of the following month.
