- With GST roll-out around the corner, there are some businesses who are yet to be registered under the GST. For this reason, GST registrations are being reopened again on 25th June.
- Currently, there are almost 80 Lakh taxpayers who fall under central excise, service tax and VAT. 80% of these assessees are already registered under the GSTN when the enrollment was opened for the previous two times.
- The first time about 60 Lakh assessees enrolled themselves under the GSTN and the second time 4 Lakh+ were enrolled.
- This time when they reopen registrations, the GSTN is expecting the remaining 20% of the assessees to be enrolled and ready for the GST regime.
- The registration portal is to be open for 15 days from 25th June.
