What is ITC-04 under GST?

ITC – 04 under GST is a form generated by registered manufacturers. It shows the details of inputs/capital goods dispatched or received from a job worker in a particular quarter.

The due date for GST ITC-04 filing is on the 25th of the month succeeding a quarter. There are no GST ITC-04 late fees. But if the manufacturer does not submit the details on time then his ITC is affected.

How to file ITC-04 in GST portal?

You can do the filing of ITC-04 in GST portal by these simple steps:

Step 1: Firstly go to the GST portal www.gst.gov.in

Step 2: Then with your valid credentials, you can login to the GST portal.

Step 3: Next in the Services menu, select Returns and click on ITC Forms.

Step 4: Then in GST ITC Forms page, you can see the GST ITC-04 tile, click on the option PREPARE ONLINE.

Step 5: Select the particular Financial year and Return Period you need from the drop-down list.

Step 6: Next, click on the SEARCH.

Step 7: You can see the details displayed for the particular Tax period. You can also edit or delete the details before filing your return.

Step 8: Then click on FILE RETURN.

Step 9: Tick the given checkbox.

Step 10: Next, select an Authorized Signatory from the drop-down list.

Step 11: At the bottom of the page, select either FILE WITH DSC or FILE WITH EVC option.

Step 12: It will generate an ARN (Application Reference Number) after the complete verification. At last, Your status will finally appear as Filed.
