The GST council has once again extended the due date for filing GST Returns. Previously the extended dates was till 5th, 10th and 15th for GSTR 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

The GST council has decided to extend the due dates for filing of GST returns once again.

It is to provide more time for the tax payers as they are facing difficulties in filing their returns.

The revised due date for filing GST returns are as follows:

GSTR 1 GSTR 2 GSTR 3
Old due date Sept 10th Sept 25th Sept 30th
New due date Oct 10th Oct 31st Nov 10th

For the businesses who have an aggregate turnover of more than Rs. 100 crores, the returns filing due date is October 3rd 2017.

Since the due date for filing of GSTR 1, GSTR 2, GSTR 3 has been extended, the filing of GSTR 3B will be continued for the months of August to December, 2017.

Due date for filing GSTR-4, which is a quarterly return for composition dealers, continues to be on October 18th.

Also, the revised due date for filing of GSTR 6 is on October 13th.

The submission date of Form GST TRAN 1 has been extended by 1 month i.e., to October 31, 2017.
